I tried to go with Hostgator as your first option, everything work well with Baby package, but it ‘s seem it ‘s slower than what I expect. Any idea can help?
The speed is belong to many factors, what ‘s your country? Did you try to test the server speed first? To me it ‘s reasonable or one more solution that you can try to upgrade to Business package what just take you some USD/year more.

Hi Tsaong, justhost.com is not a good provider for magento. They doesn’t provide magento special package with magento experience team. If you already got your site work on their hosting I believe you will realize how good is it. It ‘s cheap but you just lose money when using them.

We run Magento on virtual servers which cost upwards of £50 per month, that’s about $800+ a year!
EUR 50 per month is used for VPS what can handle magento site with roughly 500 000 visits/day. But still, the most reason why we use the hosting is magento expert support and fix server bug for free. Let 's think about a problem happen with a VPS and a hosting. If you own a VPS, you have to pay 100% the fee your own, but if it happen with a hosting then the hosting company have to fix it right away for you for free since there are a tons customers pay for it.
I don’t think 50EUR will work in general. It ‘s too expensive. I am having 3 magento sites what take 3k visits/day for each but they are all work very well with siteground hosting. It waste too much money for expensive VPS like that.
You are right, Jesica. For site what only take you 3k vists/day, you only need shared web hosting for magento. Just need the hosting company support caching and they design the server for magento.

The hosting can be a good choice since we have no way to set up server/vps yourself. Do you have any cloud vps solution in the case I want to do server set up myself? Is it a good choice?
If you look a cloud vps then I think you can check DigitalOcean or Amazon EC2. They have a good plan for you. But of course, you have to take care the risk yourself. I don’t recommend them if you are not familiar with magento server set up and optimization.

I think you choose the first one is good for magento hosting solution, but I don’t think greengeek is a good choice, 2 years ago, I have a magento on them but it work very slow until I move to SiteGround and get it work really fast.
